The story of Show Champa started in the fall of 2009, as two of the band members quit another band and decided to start a new project, moving towards more melancholic based rock music.
The two members, Preben Fuglset (b. 1993) and Torstein Vesteng Vala (b. 1993), recorded music in a tiny home studio, and were joined by drummer Kasper Waag (b. 1995) a few months later.
Things continued to develop, and it didn't take long before Preben's older brother Liam Fuglset (b. 1987) joined the band as the lead singer. Soon also Jon Grindbakken (b. 1995) was included, and the line up was complete.
During the summer of 2010, Show Champa played some concerts around in local towns and festivals, and also went to the Norwegian capital Oslo to record a demo version of one of their very first songs, Arms of Faith.
Five people with diverse backgrounds make Show Champa a band with a lot of different musicial influences. Alternative rock, inspired by a mix of jazz and world music, means a varied song list.
